Welcome to the website of Tomas Hnilica. I am freelance software developer with rich experience with analysis and development of web-based applications, multiplatform C/C++ applications, user interfacing, computer graphics and data visualization.

Multiplatform GUI development
I am experienced in development of multiplatform applcations based on following GUI toolkits:
- FOX Toolkit (www.fox-toolkit.org)
- QT (www.trolltech.com)
- Tcl/Tk
Multiplatform application I am participating on are focused on 3D visualization. As visualization platform these libraries/standards are used:
- OpenGL
- OpenSceneGraph
For flexibility, ease of development and future customization of the system scripting languages are implemented:
- JavaScript (ECMAScript)
- Tcl/Tk
Web applications, web services, EAI
My experience with development of web based applications in tightly connected to the company WebStep where I am paritcipating.
I am creating web sites with help of simple CMS system FlexiWeb that allows easy and flexible web site administration and is intended for small to middle web sites. There is also possibility to extend the system with custom applications and templates. Read more about FlexiWeb. One of the advanced web application using FlexiWeb and other custom modules is focused to touristic web sites.
We have developed several web portals and advanced web applications. Such systems are more about software engineering and design patterns.
